7. Vice President: The Vice President will be a position nominated by the<br />

president in order to assist with the executive running of the club (and<br />

elected by a simple majority of active members during the third week of<br />

first block). If the president is ever unavailable, the vice president may<br />

temporarily act as president.<br />

Article V – <strong>Club</strong> Meetings<br />

1. The <strong>Cornell</strong> <strong>Capoeira</strong> <strong>Club</strong> will meet a minimum of twice a week the first three<br />

weeks of the block, at the times and places determined by the <strong>Capoeira</strong><br />

Instructor(s) or President.<br />

2. Students will be informed of class times and locations by email the first day of<br />

each block.<br />

3. The executive board will meet once a month to discuss club issues.<br />

Article VI – Elections<br />

1. Elections will be held during the end of eighth block of each academic year.<br />

2. In the event of a vacancy, nominations will be taken and elections will be held.<br />

3. Any officer may be removed from office by a 2/3 majority vote of all active<br />

members. Note that if a removal is to occur, it must be announced at the meeting<br />

before the removal and notice must be sent to all members.<br />

Article VII – Amendments<br />

1. Amendments may be proposed by any active member of the group. Amendments<br />

must have the approval of a <strong>Capoeira</strong> Instructor and be voted on by all active<br />

members with a 2/3 majority vote.<br />

2. Amendments will not take effect until approved by Student Senate.<br />

Article VIII – Ratification<br />

1. After approval by the Student Senate, the constitution will become effective after<br />

a majority vote by active <strong>Capoeira</strong> <strong>Club</strong> members.
