7. Vice President: The Vice President will be a position nominated by the
president in order to assist with the executive running of the club (and
elected by a simple majority of active members during the third week of
first block). If the president is ever unavailable, the vice president may
temporarily act as president.
Article V – Club Meetings
1. The Cornell Capoeira Club will meet a minimum of twice a week the first three
weeks of the block, at the times and places determined by the Capoeira
Instructor(s) or President.
2. Students will be informed of class times and locations by email the first day of
each block.
3. The executive board will meet once a month to discuss club issues.
Article VI – Elections
1. Elections will be held during the end of eighth block of each academic year.
2. In the event of a vacancy, nominations will be taken and elections will be held.
3. Any officer may be removed from office by a 2/3 majority vote of all active
members. Note that if a removal is to occur, it must be announced at the meeting
before the removal and notice must be sent to all members.
Article VII – Amendments
1. Amendments may be proposed by any active member of the group. Amendments
must have the approval of a Capoeira Instructor and be voted on by all active
members with a 2/3 majority vote.
2. Amendments will not take effect until approved by Student Senate.
Article VIII – Ratification
1. After approval by the Student Senate, the constitution will become effective after
a majority vote by active Capoeira Club members.
