In spite of the weather, the UMC Trojan baseball team, coached by Wayne Olson, had a winning year. The
record for the '79 team was 7-5. Almost no practices were held prior to the first games with Brainerd. However,
the Trojans came on strong and either won or split each series after the disasterous beginning.
