Winter Blahs<br />
Ag-Arama was designed as a time for ag students to<br />
show what they had learned throughout the year.<br />
Even so, not only ag students get involved, everyone<br />
can participate. Events range from showmanship contests<br />
to tug-0-war to tobacco spitting to an egg toss.<br />
Christ Berger was the champion showman. He won<br />
this ward by proving he was the best showman in all of<br />
the five catagories: beef, sheep, swine, dairy and<br />
horse. Individual winners were: beef-Christ Berger,<br />
horse-Sue Maronick, swine-Jim Neprud, dairy-Gene<br />
Peterson and sheep-Mike Harden. The True Grit<br />
award went to Vicki Janish. Sharon Schmitz was<br />
crowned Miss Ag-Arama for the <strong>1979</strong> festivities.<br />
