The school year, 1978-79, began with a shovel<br />
full of dirt. Ground breaking ceremonies were held<br />
in August for the new addition to Kiehle Library.<br />
The ground breaking for Kiehle was an actual onthe-scene<br />
experience, not so for the second ground<br />
breaking ceremony which, due to inclement<br />
weather in October, was moved indoors. Very<br />
symbolically, the ground breaking for the new food<br />
service building was held in Bede Hall and spoons<br />
rather than shovels were used to turn the new soil<br />
and begin the building which will be completed in<br />
1980.<br />
