neuropsychological assessment and brain functioning with emphasis on
administration, scoring, and interpretation of the Halstead-Reitan Neuropsychological
Test Battery.
PSYC 5356: Neuropsychological Assessment of Memory: Presentation and
application of the basic skills and theory of memory assessment in diverse patients.
Emphasis on the administration, scoring, and interpretation of the Wechsler Memory
Scale, the Memory Assessment Scales, the Test of Memory and Learning, and the
Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test.
PSYC 5366: Assessment of Individual Mental Ability I: Examines the background
of selected individual scales of intellectual functioning. Special emphasis is given to
the supervised practice in the administration, scoring, interpretation, and
psychological report writing.
PSYC 5384: Cognitive Therapy: Theory and Application: An in-depth exploration
of the theoretical assumptions underlying cognitive-behavioral therapy and its
application in treating depression, anxiety, anger, relationship problems, and
personality disorders.
PSYC 5392: Applied Counseling Practice: A clinical skills course emphasizing the
acquisition of practical therapeutic techniques through role playing and modeling.
Video and audio feedback as well as direct supervision is given.
PSYC 5393: Applied Therapy: The application of practical therapeutic techniques
with clients. Video feedback and direct supervision is given.

PSYC 5359: Neuropsychological Assessment: Flexible Battery: Basic skills in
neuropsychological assessment and brain functioning with an emphasis on the
utilization of a flexible battery approach. Special focus is given to the administration,
scoring, and interpretation of a broad array of well-established standardized
neuropsychological measures.
PSYC 5396 and 5397: Supervised Practicum in Psychology: Supervised
experiences in a setting in which psychological services are provided. In this course,
I must coordinate with community settings to make sites available to students. I am
also the administrator regarding tracking students’ progress and assigning grades.
PSYC 5399: Independent Study: Provides a graduate student with an opportunity to
work at their own pace on a research assignment geared towards publication.
