2.9 Additional Efforts for Community Development (CD)<br />
NTPC would adopt a liberal and flexible approach towards undertaking Community<br />
Development activities. The following are the salient activities as part of CD.<br />
2.9.1 Capacity building<br />
Based on consultation and need assessment, capacity-building efforts will be made for PAPs<br />
who are otherwise entitled for any individual rehabilitation benefit. These efforts would aim<br />
at skill upgradation through various training schemes and training institutes of NTPC/ State<br />
Govt. in order to make them self-reliant. Depending upon the need and requirement as<br />
discussed in VDAC and included in the R&R Plan, the project will grant scholarship and/ or<br />
