I am not an external member of an activity; I am the very part of the ongoing activity. I clearly know answers for the following questions: What are the SOPs, facilities and publications required for the task? What am I supposed to do? What can go wrong? What does it take to ensure safe completion of the given task? I always believe that only a good worker can become a good supervisor; I am a good worker and I can ensure safe completion of the given task. I always clarify my doubts about the given task and I never keep any doubts with me. I always bring out to my superiors the difficulty faced by the personnel in carrying out a given task. I always maintain in my personal diary the critical snag and accident/ incident data about the system I work on and take adequate precautions to avoid recurrence of the same. I never supervise two different activities simultaneously. I take excuse myself if I am not in a position to supervise an activity due to any reason and I ensure that some other supervisor supervises the activity. If I feel some pressure I go back to my superior and share my views. I never pass on the pressure down the line. I am very particular about following SOPs. If I see some deviation from SOPs, I stop the activity and ensure all SOPs are adhered to. I strongly believe that by following SOPs and by disciplined supervision, we can ensure a pleasant ‘Aerospace Safety’ environment. I clearly understand that I am vested with the great responsibility of ensuring Aerospace Safety through my supervisory skills. I always ensure that my supervisory activity is performed to the best of my ability and in accordance with the procedures laid down in the manuals. I always ensure proper documentation and these documents always comply with Aerospace Safety norms.
