Needless to say, as a child his favorite hobby was drawing.
When he realized that “drawing took a lot of his time” he
pursued photography. And it was an instant success. First
in New Mexico, then in California, all to the way to the Los
Angeles Times. Much of his experience was made in prestigious
magazines. But when in 2007 he started to work with
Ben Christman, friend and famous American photographer
specialized in weddings, Dave discovered his love for wedding
photography: “These are moments in which it is possible to
capture the most genuine emotions, in which even adults are
allowed to share their feelings. A spontaneous expression or
an involuntary gesture is enough to be able to truly see the
person in front of you”. Authenticity is Dave’s key word, but
also respect, empathy, courtesy, attitude. “To be able to do a
good job, you truly need to be interested in people, to preserve
your curiosity in understanding them, to get excited over
small things. And to be able to feel. Nevertheless, document
love (the one with a capital ‘l’) is part of my career, a privilege
that I appreciate and I recognize its importance. If my heart
was made of ice, how could I represent this divine expression
of human experience?”

apprezzo e di cui riconosco l!importanza. Se il mio cuore fosse di
ghiaccio, come potrei rappresentare questa divina espressione
dell!esperienza umana?”.

‘To photograph beautiful women and to make a lot of money...”. This was the dream of the young and inexpert Jerry
Ghionis in his first days in the photography world. He didn’t know yet he would have to carry many bags (camera
bags) before becoming a true professional. Very soon, though, his passion and ability were recognized: today Jerry is
sought after as an impeccable master of wedding photography, not only in Australia but also abroad. “The secret to a
good photographer? To shoot with the innocence of a child together with the experience of a veteran. There are no
models to follow, only the personal style of seeing reality”. A reality that Jerry is able to represent from its fascinating
side, while keeping the full naturalness of the situation. “My job is to direct the guests, to pose the the bride and
groom, to build empathies. But also to tell a story in order that each photo, each image is born with its own soul”.

“Each photo is like a short movie, a love one of course, and I love cinema”.
Peter Karasev is considered by the brides and grooms who ‘experienced’ his
photographic art a true magician of photography: able to capture each smile,
each look, each tear, it is possible to consider him a sort of psychologist
that is able to catch the sensibility of the deepest people, their feelings,
their pleasant confusion of the moment, their soul. How? With transparency,
purity, sincerity and honesty, but also a generous sense of humor: through
his ‘magic glass’, Peter grabs the reality of things; transforming details,
that are simple in appearance, into extraordinarily beautiful and charming
images. One of his characteristics is how, once he has established the contact
and built the project, Peter seems to literally blend in the bride and groom,
becoming their shadow, seeing and hearing the same things. Without
needing to ask for anything, the result is an album full of emotions and light.

After being one of the first Italian photographers to revolutionize the classic canons of wedding photography, Alessandro Baglioni has
reached today the so-called ‘ideal’ dimension: reportage. “to communicate emotions must be the goal of each photo shoot. But if this is
a principle shared by many, I allow myself to go beyond: which emotions to communicate? Of whom? “The photographer’s emotions” is
the answer. (I can already hear the buzzing in the background, let me explain a bit better). Each time that I have a new job, it is like the
principals are looking for a mirror that lets them discover who they really are. We all normally have a personal perspective, of ourselves and
of others. The goal instead, becomes the tool through which it is possible to reveal new, unexpected, fascinating horizons”. The cultural and
emotional path of the professional is therefore a decisive influence on the entire job. “Like a writer who writes, an artist who composes,
even the photographer is influenced by his own background. Of course the bride and groom will choose their favorite style by going to
this or that professional, but the final result will always be an interpretation of the person that lives the scene behind the camera. The
amazing thing is that each product will be irreproducible because born... from inside. And each wedding will have its album of emotions”.

L"obbiettivo, invece, diventa lo strumento attraverso cui riuscire a rivelare al prossimo nuovi, inaspettati, affascinanti orizzonti”.
Il percorso culturale ed emozionale del professionista è dunque un cardine determinante dell"intero lavoro. “Come uno scrittore
vive la scena da dietro la macchina foto. La cosa stupefacente è che ogni prodotto sarà irriproducibile proprio perché nato... da
dentro. E ogni matrimonio avrà così il Suo album di emozioni”.

Paris: the people walking by, the romantically unique
atmosphere of the Seine River. Having landed in the
city of love, Zhou Xiaonan felt that his duty was to
give this all to eternity. Bought his first ‘true’ camera
and began to shoot.
The wedding photography came by chance, in a small
village in the South of France where Zhou was asked
to immortalize in pictures some friends during a
ceremony, almost for fun.
“It was the happiness that I saw in those eyes that
brought me to choose this path. I will never stop
being surprised how, behind a simple smile, a person,
a story is hidden”. And for this reason Zhou is
accustomed to extract information on the personality
of the couple, on their jobs, their hobbies and favorite
styles, on their love story: to realize something
original, creative, different. In one word, unique.

unica della Senna. Sbarcato nella città dell!amore
Zhou Xiaonan sentì che il suo compito sarebbe stato di
regalare tutto questo all!eternità. Si comprò la sua prima

volti che mi portò a scegliere questa strada. Non smetterò
mai di sorprendermi per come, dietro ad un semplice sorriso,
si possa nascondere una persona, una storia”. E! per
questo che Zhou è solito carpire informazioni sui caratteri
degli sposi, sulle loro professioni, i loro hobby e stili preferiti,
la loro storia d!amore: per realizzare qualcosa di originale,
creativo, diverso. In una parola sola, unico.
