THE <strong>2014</strong> USA BEST BOOK AWARDS on November 12, <strong>2014</strong>.<br />
An Award-winning author, speaker and trainer, Thomas Smith’s dedication,<br />
leadership and commitment are shown in his thirty years of active<br />
community engagement. He has been recognized with national and state<br />
awards; he has leadership experience in civic, social, and community<br />
organizations and local, state, and federal government. He is a multiple<br />
Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and Benefactor. He has a strong<br />
interest in family genealogy and is a member of the Society of Colonial<br />
Wars, Sons of the Revolution, and Sons of the American Revolution.<br />
Thomas is passionate about helping others and in <strong>2014</strong> received the<br />

recognition to individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to<br />
volunteer service and dedication to improving their community. Thomas is<br />
the current President of the Rotary Club of Palm Springs.<br />
An author widely published in print and on-line, Thomas was honored as<br />
an award winning author in the International Book Awards for <strong>2014</strong> and<br />
2013 and the USA Best Book Awards in <strong>2014</strong> and 2013. He leads online<br />
groups including a leadership forum which is a resource worldwide. He has<br />
been a workshop presenter at many events throughout the United States.<br />
He served as Chair and on the national Board of Directors for a national<br />
leadership conference. In <strong>2014</strong>, he traveled to India as an ambassador<br />
for international training in education and literacy. Thomas earned his<br />
undergraduate degrees in economics and business management and<br />
