When compaction is present, the best time for dealing with it is in the fall during your post harvest
tillage operation. Breaking up the hardpan and roughing up the surface will improve water and nutrient
infiltration over the winter. The Model 2433 Chisel from Sunflower will help you eliminate your
compaction problem while allowing you to cover a large number of acres. With shanks spaced on 12”
centers, the 2433 provides good soil mixing and residue flow* while shattering the compaction up to
10” deep.
