permanent position with IARC. Her
grace and compassion are sadly
missed.
Alexandra Moore, who was our
Taskforce Coordinator then
migration lawyer, is working on
refugee programs overseas.
Pradhima Jeyaratnam left RACS
to set up her own business selling
shoes for people with small feet.

continued their generous provision
of secondees every 6 months and
we were joined by Georgia White
and Jessie Porteus in 2013-14.
My experience as a secondee solicitor at RACS was lifechanging.
The work was challenging and interesting, and it
was an honour and a privilege to work with the passionate
staff at RACS and to work for our asylum seekers clients.
Everyone is so talented and passionate about what they do,
and the work environment is supportive and collegiate, which
is so important when undertaking legally and emotionally
challenging work. I have made life long friends from the
experience and will always be a member of the RACS
community.

Allens kindly provided RACS with
a 6 month secondee, Tess Deegan,
three days a week.
An exciting development was
Norton Rose Fulbright offering
to provide us with a secondee for
the first time. The firm has kindly
offered their pro bono assistance to
RACS and we had the pleasure of
welcoming Josh Strutt to RACS.
RACS is immensely grateful to our
partner legal firms for their ongoing
support and to the individual
lawyers who were quick learners
and proved to be passionate about
human rights and supporting
asylum seekers.
