DETAILS OF
THE SERVICE
The RACS head office is based
on Phillip Street, Sydney, walking
distance from St James and Martin
Place train stations.
It operates a full-time casework
service from Monday to Friday
between the hours of 9.00 am and
5.00 pm.
RACS provides a free Telephone
Advice service between 10.00 am
and 11.30 am on Tuesdays and
Thursdays.
RACS also provides a free Face-to-
Face Advice clinic by appointment
on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Evening Advice is run by staff and
volunteers on Monday evenings.
The Legal Help for Refugees
Clinic runs on Monday night and
assists post 13 August 2012 boat
arrivals with statements of claim,
by appointment only. The clinic
is run on Monday nights with the
assistance of volunteers – legal
students, interpreters and lawyers.
The Legal Help for Unaccompanied
Children Clinic assists child asylum
seekers who arrived by boat and
were unaccompanied by a parent or
guardian.
The Asylum Seeker Centre Legal
Clinic is run in partnership with
RACS and assists ASC clients
with the assessment of protection
claims.
The Auburn Legal Outreach Centre
for Asylum Seekers and Refugees
assists residents of the Auburn LGA
with short drop in sessions and
longer sessions by appointment.
Our Family Reunion Clinic offers
assistance to former clients and
vulnerable refugees with their
Family Reunion Visa applications.
