So far, 27 wildlife sanctuaries
and six parks, constituting
about 4.2% (30,000km 2 ) of the
total land area of the country
have been formed and
managed. In the long run, PAS
will be increased up to 10% of
the total land area. The Nature
and Wildlife Conversation
Division of FD is promoting the
PAS throughout the country.
