• UN General Assembly endorsed on Dec 1, 1990 <strong>the</strong><br />

recommendation of UN Committee on Peaceful Uses of Outer<br />

<strong>Space</strong> (UNCOPUOS) that<br />

• “ … effort to establish Regional Centres for <strong>Space</strong> Science<br />

<strong>and</strong> Technology <strong>Education</strong> <strong>in</strong> exist<strong>in</strong>g national/regional<br />

educational <strong>in</strong>stitutions <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> develop<strong>in</strong>g countries “<br />

• Agreement to establish CSSTEAP signed by 10 countries on<br />
