As was the case with the opening concert, the
closing concert of the series will be conducted by
En Shao, the Chief Conductor of the RTV Slovenia
Symphony Orchestra. He will be joined by the
brilliant Claude Delangle, a researcher, a
pedagogue and one of the most important
contemporary saxophonists. This great interpreter
of classical music is also involved in the creation of
contemporary music and works in collaboration
with many contemporary composers. Delangle is a
member of various contemporary music
ensembles and he also likes to appear as a soloist
with various orchestras.
Accompanied by the conductor and the orchestra,
the musician will perform Debussy's Rhapsody and
a piece by the contemporary composer, Philippe
Leroux, which will highlight his vast musical range
and technique. The rest of the night's programme
will also be dedicated to French music, so we can
expect a sophisticated and acoustically rich and
colourful evening.
