The concert will be conducted by the young
conductor, Simon Krečič, who was awarded third
prize in the competition in Grosseto, Italy, and who
is on the fast track to becoming one of the new
generation of promising Slovenian conductors.
Under his guidance, five Slovenian pianists of the
younger generation will perform for the audience.
Tadej Hrovat has been a winner of various national
competitions, he is also a Škerjanec Award winner
and a Prešeren Student Award winner. Jure Goručan
currently studies at the Cologne University of Music.
Ivan Ferič completed his postgraduate studies in
Ljubljana and is a Prešeren Student Award winner.
Representing Slovenia at the 1st EPTA International
Piano Competition, he was awarded a Certificate of
Honour. Ana Šinkovec gave her first solo recital at
the age of 10, and in June 2008, she completed her
postgraduate studies at the Royal Conservatory of
Brussels. She has also won various Slovenian and
international awards and commendations. In 2011,
Danijel Brecelj completed his master's degree in
music (piano), at the renowned Conservatoire
national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris;
now he studies composition at the Mozarteum
University of Salzburg and continues his piano
studies. He has also won various Slovenian and
international competitions.
