Why Become a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Lean Six Sigma Black Belts aren’t just change agents with a broad business perspective.
For many employers they’re game changers.
Process experts, they can deploy their substantial experience and commercial
acumen to comprehend an organisation’s entire operations and to drive substantial

Who Should Attend
The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Programme is not for the faint-hearted. To undertake
it successfully, delegates need to have the ambition and determination to take their
career and their skill-set to the next level. The potential return on their personal

Delegates are encouraged to complete the programme over a 12-18 month period
for the sake of continuity of learning and to enhance networking opportunities with

Those undertaking the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Programme must have already
achieved their Green Belt. Green Belt training is also available from UEP’s Lean Six
Sigma Team.

UEP’s Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Training Programme has been designed to create not
only experts in process reengineering, with in-depth knowledge of both methodologies
and skilled in the use of data, but individuals with wider commercial experience that
enables them to be an integral part of the wider organisation, influencing and driving

Moreover, their mastery of Lean Six Sigma and the combination of technical and

UEP’s dedicated Lean Six Sigma Team, staffed exclusively with Black and Master Black

deliver training at all stages of Lean Six Sigma, but also to work alongside organisations
from the very beginning of their Lean Six Sigma journey right through to project
completion and certification, providing expert consulting and mentoring tailored to
the specific needs of each client.
This approach ensures that delegates can be assured that their training is based on upto-the-minute
findings from the cutting edge of Lean Six Sigma implementation.
Programme Structure
The Black Belt Programme from UEP’s Lean Six Sigma Team is delivered throughout
the year in a series of three or four-day open training programmes, during which
delegates will experience an engaging blend of presentation, activity, discussion and
both individual and team-based case studies.
This flexible structure is designed not only to allow delegates to take the programme
at their own pace, fitting around their other commitments, but ensures delegates
ability to put each stage of their learning into almost immediate practice in their own
environment, embedding their skills and knowledge.
Between training programmes, delegates are supported with unlimited email and
phone access and several site visits from UEP’s Lean Six Sigma Team.
This is done through the creation of an Evidence File built up over the course of the
programme.
Black Belt training programmes are delivered at our Training Centres in Oxford and
Coventry. Each day’s schedule is restricted to normal working hours so there is no
residential requirement, though details of appropriate local accommodation will be
provided.
