Uninterruptible power supply
for AC grids
Interference-free mains supply
and signal transmission
A constant power supply is essential for the
operational reliability of electrical systems,
installations and devices.
These requirements are satisfied by the
class VFI-SS-111 single-phase power supply
units. They are available as stand-alone
device or for mounting in a 19“ rack.
Phoenix Contact offers a compatible range of
products for your power supply solution in the
control cabinet. Power supply units, DC/DC
converters and redundancy modules as well as
uninterruptible power supply units for the control
cabinet ensure maximum system availability.
Further information can be obtained from the
Reliable protection against voltage interruptions
Within power supply networks, even
the slightest voltage fluctuations or
power failures can cause significant
disturbances in IT systems. Devices for
uninterruptible power supply intercept
these mains faults and ensure a constant
supply voltage via battery support.
Computer crashes, program errors
or data loss are therefore effectively
prevented.
Loads are permanently supplied with an
output voltage or output frequency that
is independent of the mains input.
43.8%
Brief interruption – huge effect
Recent VDE studies on quality of supply have shown that
the risk of mains failures and brief interruptions is on the
increase.* The average failure time per year increased from
15 to 23 minutes.
Constant power supply
and improved power quality
UPS devices are an important measure
for reliable power quality. They bridge
current failures and eliminate other power
malfunctions such as:
• Undervoltages or surge voltages
• High-frequency noises
• Frequency fluctuations
• Harmonics
UPS devices for key areas of the company
All devices of the UPS-CP series are VFI-SS-111-classified.
They provide the right protective solution for all typical
interferences and interruptions.
MTTR – Bypass modules ensure minimum service times
Mean time to recover – Minimum possible time is important for
professional applications. The UPS-CP series fulfills this requirement
completely with the separate bypass modules. In the 4.5 and 6 kVA
performance class, even redundant or parallel operation of the
devices is possible.
Wide-reaching configuration using hardware or software
The UPS-CP devices can be directly configured via
the operating panel and in the case of charged batteries
even without external power connection.
The illuminated and easily legible LCD operating
controlled shutdown of a computer via a program
command.
The optional SNMP extension cards can be used
for comprehensive administration of the
UPS-CP devices through the grid. Access is simply
via the web browser, where logs can be called up
