are becoming more responsible for things;
overall, I think, there is still the same level
of responsibility on everyone’s part, but
it’s being shifted around a little bit.”
Of all of the constituents realizing the
advantages of BIM, Burke feels it’s the
construction industry that is outpacing all
in adopting the process, “because they’re
all about bottom line and money and how
to keep things from getting screwed up
because they’re the ones who have to eat
that, so the construction industry really
seems to be latching onto BIM, either by
requiring BIM models, or making their
own from 2-D plans.”
To that end, in fact, Autodesk has
another product called Navisworks,
a reading-only program designed to
extract and co-ordinate information
