A. Therefore, we’d better learn to get along with each other!
B. All we are and all we do belong to the Lord and pleasing God,
not judging our fellow Christians, is the goal, target of our lives.
Romans 14:8, For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and
whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or
die, we are the Lord’s.
I. Whether we Christians live or die, we live or die unto the Lord.
A. Whatever we do we must do it knowing that we belong to the
Lord.
B. Even, in the first century, the behavior of converted slaves in the
service of their Masters was included in this injunction.
1. Ephesians 6:7-9, With good will doing service, as to the
Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good
thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the
Lord, whether he be bond or free. And, ye masters, do the
same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing
that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect
of persons with him.
C. Even in death we belong to the Lord.
1. 1 Corinthians 15:55-57, O death, where is thy sting O
grave, where is thy victory The sting of death is sin; and
the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which
giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 14:9, For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and
revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
