D&WC PRESENTS
CHF CONFERENCE & TRADE SHOW
FEBRUARY 2007
Charlotte Convention Center,
Charlotte, NC
Draperies & Window Coverings
magazine presents the 15th Custom
Home Furnishings Conference &
Trade Show February 15 to 18, 2007,
at the Charlotte Convention Center,
Charlotte, NC. D&WC purchased the
Custom Home Furnishings Educational
event in October. An official
announcement was made at the CHF
conference in Valley Forge, PA.
The 2007 event will continue and
build upon the solid foundation Cheryl
Strickland created in her former
workroom show and bring to life
new seminars and events to attract
additional retailers and designers,
making this show an even more
comprehensive and valuable experience.
Cheryl’s foresight in bringing
workrooms together as the primary
focus of this event will remain the same.
The 15th CHF Conference & Trade
Show will feature a faculty of the
industry’s most knowledgeable
speakers, presenting 48 sessions
on fabrication, design, installation,
upholstery and slipcovers, and general
business knowledge. More than 60
leading suppliers will preview products
and services at their exhibit booths and
present live demonstrations throughout
the show.
KEYNOTE AND SPECIAL
EVENTS
The event’s keynote speaker will
be Wolfgang H. Schaber, host of
the Food TV Network’s “Kitchen
Accomplished!” Schaber will present
his keynote address during lunch on
Thursday, February 15th. He shares
his passion for design through his
design studio, Wolfgang Interiors,
which provides designer furniture
and accessories and custom draperies
(with an in-house drapery workroom
to fabricate his custom draperies
and bedding). He won “Designer’s
Challenge” as a featured designer
on HGTV and has aired on HGTV’s
design trends show “I Want That . . .
Baths.” He is host of numerous design
seminars and speaking engagements
across the country!
Besides the exhibit hall, unlimited
networking opportunities and handson
classes, the CHF Conference &
Trade Show will feature the Working
Workroom, a functioning drapery
workroom inside the exhibit all set
up by the Custom Home Furnishings
Academy. Attendees will have the ideal
opportunity to learn the layout and
details of an efficient workroom and
to work with exhibitors’ supplies and
equipment before purchasing.
Other feature events include The Great
American Slipcover Race, a dinner
gala hosted by the Window Coverings
