2141 1874 (12 May) stampless entire to Genoa with Malta code B datestamp, “12 1 ⁄2” rate mark<br />
crossed through in blue crayon and replaced by “22” in the same colour, on arrival taxed<br />
by Italy 60c. Postage Due with Genoa cancellation; horizontal filing fold well clear of the<br />
adhesive and a few small faults on the reverse, scarce. Photo £180-200<br />
2142 B 1965-70 4d. block of six (3x2) from the upper right corner of the sheet, variety silver<br />

volumes, contained in a carton, old auction folders and loose in packets, etc. with a range<br />
of perfins, some on cover, and a selection of commercial mail back to pre-stamp.<br />

2144 R 1847 “POST OFFICE” reprints from the original plate, comprising 1d. and 2d. in orange<br />
and 1d. and 2d. in blue, each pair printed on thin wove paper (121x102mm.), and 1858<br />
Sherwin reprint, made by E.B. Evans in 1877, of the unissued 1d. value sheet in black on<br />
laid watermarked paper (107x162mm). An attractive group of these iconic stamps £1,200-1,500<br />
