Nor-Cal Vans is a member of the National Mobility Equipment Dealer’s Association (NMEDA),
the Association for Driving Rehabilitation Specialists (ADED) and is a Ford Qualified
Vehicle Modifier (QVM). Nor-Cal Van is the only Ford Vehicle Upfitter that specializes in the
modification of the Ford E-Van modified with a full 9” drop floor that eliminates the need for
raised roofs and doors. Nor-Cal Vans most current completed project is the modification of
the Ford Transit Connect for wheelchair access and taxi use. Nor-Cal Vans has consistently
followed a rigid path to compliance and demonstrates an on-going commitment and
understanding by Nor-Cal Vans of the application of FMVSS CFR title 49 section 571 with
specific data supporting its claim to compliance. All tests were conducted at MGA, Burlington,
Wisconsin on modified vehicles that are representative of current production vehicles.

The Nor-Cal MAX 9” lowered floor developed for the larger and taller wheelchair user,
provides an awesome 62” of interior headroom and 57” of entryway clearance. That’s four
more inches of headroom than the most popular accessible minivan conversion! Rigidly
tested against all levels of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, the Nor-Cal MAX
successfully passed all rear-impact 50-mph crash tests, confidently proving the Nor-Cal
MAX provides an unequalled level of safety. Saving time and money is also a priority.
In an effort to reduce additional expenses and time, the Nor-Cal MAX conversion comes
standard with features that reduce labor costs and down time in after-market wheelchair
lift installations.
TRANSIT CONNECT MOBILITY CONVERSION
The Transit Connect has arrived at the perfect time and the Nor-Cal Vans Adaptive Mobility
Conversion offers both agility and versatility. For individuals, it will enable a person in a
wheelchair, a driver and up to four other individuals, to be carried safely, comfortably and
economically! The rear door of the Transit Connect has been adapted, and the floor at the
rear has been lowered seven inches. At the door opening, a six-foot lightweight ramp can
then be opened out, making the slope of the entry to the van a very easy one.

Our non-emergency transporter easily meets the needs of busy transportation companies. Our
raised roof paratransit vans are available on standard and extended length chassis with a
rear-entry lift. We offer multiple wheelchair and ambulatory seating, gurney mounts and many
other options. Our extensive chassis inventory ensures a quick turnaround of your vehicle.
LUXURIOUS INTERIOR
The Nor-Cal Vans Shasta Interior features color-coordinated fabric front captain’s seats
with a matching rear sofa bed and deluxe door panels with lower carpeted kick panels.
Rich walnut inlays heighten the appearance of the interior dash and window sills. Three
tinted bay windows keep the interior bright while maintaining a feeling of privacy. Other
outstanding features include automotive style carpeting, insulation in the floor, sidewalls
and ceiling for a quieter ride, matching interior panels at the B-pillar with seat pretension
connectors and side and rear-door night boarding lights. Optional available features
include a leather seating package, choice of a tri-fold sofa bed or power sofa bed,
unishades with valances, an engine cover beverage tray, fiberglass running boards and
rubber transit flooring. The Shasta Interior is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
