FY 2003 Grant Funding<br />
• Since March 1, 2003 DHS has allocated or awarded<br />
approximately $4 billion to state and local governments to<br />
prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from acts <strong>of</strong><br />
terrorism and all hazards:<br />
• $566 million for State <strong>Homeland</strong> <strong>Security</strong> Grant Program I<br />
• $750 million for Fire Grants<br />
• $100 million for Urban Area <strong>Security</strong> Initiative I<br />
• $165 million for Emergency Management Performance Grants<br />
• $1.5 billion for State <strong>Homeland</strong> <strong>Security</strong> Grant Program II<br />
• $18.8 million for Citizen Emergency Response Teams<br />
• $700 million for Urban Area <strong>Security</strong> Initiative II<br />
