Chanderi Integrated ICT for development programme<br />
(CIIDP): MLAsia is also doing ICT in Healthcare,<br />
Education and Livelihood generation based activities<br />
with deployment of its technologies. Out of various<br />
components, the progress made in 2 important areas<br />
of intervention is as follows:<br />

ICT & Social Entrepreneurship Programme: Training is<br />
going on for 50 entrepreneurs in ICT social<br />
enterprises such as Block printing, embroidery &<br />
tailoring and design development component,<br />
Jacquard block printing machine usage etc.<br />
Digital Tourism Promotion Programme: Local<br />
Community Portal is being created with Dynamic<br />
site having social-cultural-historical-information in<br />
digitized form. Mobile based information is being<br />
developed so that pre tour & on tour information<br />
can be provided on mobile phones to assist<br />
tourists.<br />
Interactive Portal for Livelihood Generation of Migrant<br />
Workers: The migrant worker’s portal has been<br />
developed by MLAsia as a project funded by<br />
Cybermate Infotek Limited (CIL), Secunderabad.<br />
This portal aims at computerizing the process of<br />
livelihood generation and training of the unorganized<br />
sector workers and fulfil the requirement of the client<br />
(contractor/ recruiters/ Household) through Front<br />
Level Agencies such as NGOs, SHGs, Hardware<br />
Shop owners & PCO operators, etc. The System<br />
registers a worker and a client online and allows them<br />
to maintain their account online. The portal also<br />
provides a platform for financial and vocational<br />
related services.<br />
eGalla: eGalla is focused and designed for the<br />
lower mid-segment of the Indian retail market.<br />
eGalla will focus on how to provide the opportunity<br />
and the necessary innovative tools / devices which<br />
will empower shopkeepers to increase their customer<br />
base and profit margins. It can also be utilized as a<br />
very effective tool for aggregation of order for pharma<br />
products, commodities and merchandise of general<br />
stores, etc., by a godown / depot / sales office.<br />
eGalla has been tested in shops in Mumbai with<br />
the hardware and software. A database for 7000<br />
commodities has been compiled. Mobile interface<br />
with the system is also developed. The technology is<br />
ready for transfer and large scale deployment is being<br />
organised.<br />
Development of Cost effective solution for community<br />
radio station (CRS) and deployment for livelihood<br />
generation: 5 CRSs at following five State Agriculture<br />
Universities have been Installed and<br />
commissioned:<br />

<strong>Technology</strong> – Faizabad (UP)<br />
ii. Birsa Agriculture University – Ranchi (Jharkhand)<br />
iii. Tamil Nadu Agriculture University – Coimbatore<br />
(TN)<br />
iv. CCS Haryana Agriculture University – Hisar<br />
(Haryana)<br />
v. Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya – Raipur<br />
(CG)<br />
1000 hours of content in field Agriculture & Allied<br />
Sciences; Women & Child Empowerment; Health &<br />
Hygiene; Livelihood generation; Career Counseling<br />
& Entertainment has been created and is being<br />
broadcasted through RBS (Radio Broadcasting<br />
Software) developed under the project.<br />
Training to 125 persons has been imparted to make<br />
them radio professionals (radio jockey). Two National<br />
Level Workshops on capacity building for CRS were<br />
organized under this project. These workshops were<br />
attended by more than 250 agricultural experts from<br />
SAUs & KVKs.<br />
Investigating eSagu based multimodal services to roll<br />
out integrated agri services programme: The project<br />
envisaged by Media Lab Asia was to investigate<br />
eSagu-based multimodal agri-service platform to<br />
facilitate the implementation of Integrated Agri-Service<br />
Program (IASP). eSagu system has been<br />
operationalized at four centers by collecting<br />
subscription fees. A tripartite MOU (MLAsia, IIIT &<br />
Department of Rural Development, Govt of AP) has<br />
been signed for providing horticulture advices under<br />
NREGS programme. The Prototype of software for IASP<br />
has been developed. Crop Manuals for 5 Crops (Cotton,<br />
Chilly, Paddy, Mango, Citrus) are ready and training<br />
manuals have been prepared for - Mobile Camera and<br />
