2012 Top <strong>Cancer</strong> Cases<br />
There were 2,093 total cancer cases accessioned for <strong>Eisenhower</strong><br />
<strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Center</strong> in 2012. The 2012 Primary Site table outlines<br />
each cancer site by class, sex and stage at diagnosis (page 17).<br />
Figure 13 compares the incidence of each of the top 11 cancer<br />
sites in 2012 at <strong>Eisenhower</strong> <strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Center</strong>. At 14 percent of<br />
total cases, breast cancer continues to be the most frequent<br />
cancer site receiving care at <strong>Eisenhower</strong> <strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Center</strong>. Next,<br />
prostate, lung, colorectal and bladder<br />
cancer complete the top five sites at<br />
12.1, 10.3, 8.3 and 7.3 percent,<br />
respectively. Central nervous tumors,<br />
hematopoietic malignancy and<br />
malignant melanoma incidence remained<br />
stable between 3 and 4 percent.<br />
