BIBLES FOR THE PERSECUTED
On 22 June, Year 12 Prefects, with the help of the
Year 5 Leaders, ran a fundraising day for “Bibles
for the Persecuted” which is run through the Bible
League.
Students and teachers participated so Christians
in persecuted countries can receive Bibles to
encourage them through their suffering.
God blessed us with fine weather and generous
hearts. A mufti day with a gold coin donation, a
bake stall at recess (with cakes made and donated
by Year 12) and a sausage sizzle at lunch, along with
many generous donations raised $1142.00, which will
purchase 103 Bibles.
Students and teachers have also been praying for
Christians being persecuted overseas.
Thank you to everyone who gave money, prayed,
helped and served. Together we have been able
to bless Christians overseas with a necessity that we
take for granted.
