Curiously, this record has never officíally bee n
published in CDNA reports despite being published in
van den Berg et al E199 0 1 . It has laken some 15 years
before this omission was brout;hE to light . lt is worth
while to mention that the photographs dated from
lanuarv 1982, not Decemher 1981 .

For the first linie, two hirds were found together . The
bird in CJirschot in November mit;ht have been one of
Ihe Iwo that were also present at the same location in
Fehruarv-March . The total ot Íive records is equal to
Ihe total of 1994 . Two 1994 birds have still not heen
suhmitted to the CDNA : a bird trapped at Westerschouwen,
Zeeland, on 14 Oclober and one staying on
Terschelling, Friesland, on 27-30 October .

The two wintering birds in 1995 in Kalwijk were
already inciuded in the 1995 report, with different
dates. For the third year since 1967 there were no
records ; other hiank years were 1970 and 1981 .

The discoverer of the Ameland bird was astonished
to see the bird hehind a young rabbit pointed out to
hirn hy one of his companions . The wiid provenance of
birds in May-lune is now less disputed than in the past .
