Message<br />
Community Policing is the basic core policing of today and tomorrow.<br />
In a democratic society, <strong>Police</strong> are the public and the public are the <strong>Police</strong>.<br />
The benefit of Community Policing is that the community gets the ownership<br />
of Policing and the Policing becomes more professional and community<br />
centric. <strong>Kerala</strong> <strong>Police</strong> is the proud pioneer in this endeavor in this country.<br />
The <strong>Janamaithri</strong> <strong>Suraksha</strong> <strong>Project</strong> of <strong>Kerala</strong> is entering the Sixth year<br />
of its installation. I am happy to acknowledge the efforts of the research<br />
wing of the Community Policing project of <strong>Kerala</strong>. They are bringing out a<br />
Commemorative Issue of the project incorporating various study reports<br />
and other activities for the last two years. I wish this endeavor all success.<br />
