• Provide due training to the members of <strong>Janamaithri</strong> <strong>Suraksha</strong> Samithis to make them more effective.<br />

• Organize joint meetings of various <strong>Janamaithri</strong> <strong>Suraksha</strong> Samithis for sharing their experiences<br />

for better learning.<br />

• Give due care in the appointment of <strong>Janamaithri</strong> Beat officers.<br />

Capacity Building<br />

• Provide intensive training to the beat officers on various aspects related to the implementation of the<br />

project particularly on communication, rapport building, organizing programmes, counseling etc.<br />

• Conduct refresher training to the various functionaries of the project to make the implementation<br />

more effective.<br />

• Organize training/awareness programmes for the <strong>Janamaithri</strong> <strong>Suraksha</strong> Samithi Members<br />

periodically.<br />

Monitoring and Evaluation<br />

• Ensure concurrent monitoring of the project at the Zonal level.<br />

• Organize periodical monitoring meetings preferably on a quarterly basis at the district and half<br />

yearly basis at the state level.<br />

• Set up an award for the best beat and the best <strong>Janamaithri</strong> Samithi.<br />

• Provide incentives either in cash or kind to the best beat officer at the zonal/district/state level.<br />

Networking<br />

• Ensure the involvement of Corporates, Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Educational<br />

Institutions/youth clubs in the various phases of the project viz., training and capacity building,<br />

planning and implementing, reporting and monitoring.<br />

• Hold periodical local level meetings of the corporates/ institutions/ organisations (Educational,<br />

CBOs, NGOs, etc.) in the area on a periodical basis to establish and nurture the networking so<br />

that their contributions are ensured.<br />

• Involve social service organizations like National Service Scheme (NSS) in implementing the<br />

various activities of the project.<br />

• Liaision with other <strong>Janamaithri</strong> <strong>Police</strong> stations and <strong>Janamaithri</strong> <strong>Suraksha</strong> Samithis in the district<br />

and state facilitating a mutual learning.<br />

Expansion of the project<br />

• Take efforts to extend the project to more police station limits on a time bound manner enabling<br />

more population to experience the benefits of the <strong>Janamaithri</strong> <strong>Suraksha</strong> <strong>Project</strong> i.e., safety and<br />

security to the lives and property of people.<br />
