Bronze Sculpture by Dave McGary
“Not Afraid of Pawnee Maquette”
Limited Edition: 29/50
27 H “ x 18 W” 9” D
38 pounds
Dave McGary’s soul-stirring bronze sculptures document the
culture of Native Americans. On Display now at Meyer Gallery –
305 Main Street Park City
Valued at $17,000
One of the many practices that McGary learned while studying
bronze casting under the American sculptor Harry Jackson was
that of applying paints, as well as patinas, to finished surfaces. In
Not Afraid of Pawnee, a bust of the late nineteenth-century
Yankton Sioux warrior, McGary's coloration operates
aesthetically and symbolically: the black of the Sioux's face paint
suggests his deadened feelings of revenge, and the red of his shirt
the power he derives from Mother Earth. Not Afraid of Pawnee
wears as a sign of his battle prowess his characteristic timber-wolf
headdress, fringed with golden eagle feathers, which sacred,
must never touch the ground. On his left shoulder, he supports a
Spencer rifle encased in a beaded Sioux case.
8. Sledders
VALUE: $6400
Artist: Rebecca Kinkead
Oil & Wax on Canvas
50 “ x 46”
“The smallest things are often what connect us as human beings.
The calming presence of a sibling or friend, moments of anticipation,
tenderness,
and personal triumph are realities we share.
These paintings are based on memories, both personal and borrowed.
They are an attempt to explore a collective human experience.
Details and features remain ambiguous, inviting the viewer to seek something of themselves in the
work. The figure (human and animal) has provided a generous vehicle for color, form and surface to
evolve. Paint and wax are layered, dripped and scraped to create a sense that the subject is still
emerging… still ‘becoming’.”
Lunch for Four (4) in the Madrone Grove and a VIP tour of Fisher Vineyards
Fisher Vineyards was founded by Fred and Juelle Fisher in 1973. The winery is nestled on the western face of
Spring Mountain at an elevation of 1,500 feet. We are blessed with five outstanding estate vineyards in two of
California’s most prestigious wine regions: the Napa Valley and the Sonoma Mayacamas Mountains. Our
steadfast belief is that great wines begin in great vineyards. We therefore recognize and acknowledge these
vineyards as the origin of our fine wines. Our winemaking techniques, emanating from traditional French
methods, have been adapted with great care and experimentation for over a quarter of a century to bring
forth wines reflecting the true beauty and potential of the grapes from these choice vineyards. From these
two estates come six Bordeaux-styled wines; four single vineyard Cabernets and two Cabernet blends; these
magnums represent the 2007 vintage, which was a vintage with small production and concentrated fruit. Also
included is a private VIP tour of Fisher Vineyards and lunch for four people in the Madrone Grove above the
winery overlooking the celebrated Wedding Vineyard. Lunch will be prepared in the rustic Tuscan woodburning
oven in the Grove. The Fisher Family invites you to stroll around the vineyards, hike the terraces, play
16. Not Afraid of Pawnee
VALUE: $17,000
Artist: Dave McGary
Bronze with Patina and Paint
Limited Edition: 29/50
27” High x 18” Wide 9” Deep, 38 pounds
Dave McGary, at 52, is becoming a living legend among contemporary artists of the American West. He is
considered the Master of Realism depicting Native American Indians and his many awards during the past
decade more than verify his popularity among collectors and fellow artists. His ability to capture the human
spirit knows no equal, and his attention to detail in form and historic content are exhilarating.

Not Afraid of Pawnee, a Yankton Sioux, lived in the late 1800’s. Known for his great prowess and courage as a
warrior, he successfully led his warriors against the fierce Pawnee. He is depicted wearing his Timber Wolf
headdress which exemplified craft in war. He is carrying a Spencer Rifle with brass trade tacks encased in a
beaded Sioux gun case. His war bonnet, with spiked feathers of the Golden Eagle, is considered sacred and
must never touch the ground. His face paint of black coloring symbolized the fires of revenge burned out of his
soul and the color red, the power he uses from Mother Earth.
20. “Rock Your Cellar” with Chimney Rock and a Park City Culinary Experience
VALUE: $2500
One (1) 6 Liter Bottle of 2007 Elevage, Chimney Rock Winery
Private Dinner for Sixteen (16) People at the Riverhorse on Main prepared by Executive Chef, Seth Adams
The verdict is out on Chimney Rock Winery’s 2007 Elevage – it is superlative. We found true perfection in
many ways this year. The berry size in the vineyard was perfection, the aromas extraordinary, the body of
these wines is incomparable. We are truly excited to share the gift of 2007 with our fans. Elevage, our
proprietary blend demonstrates the classic texture of Stags Leap District – velvet-smooth tannins frame a
complex blend inspired by Cheval Blanc.
The Riverhorse on Main is one of the oldest and most distinguished restaurants on Park City’s historic Main
Street. Since its opening on New Year’s Eve, 1987, the Riverhorse has been highly regarded by both restaurant
critics and the dining public. In 1995, the Riverhorse became the first restaurant in Utah to receive the DiRōNA
Award. This very prestigious honor, dedicated to “excellence in dining,” was bestowed that year on only 223
restaurants in North America. The Riverhorse has maintained this distinguished honor each year since.
On January 16th, 2000, the Riverhorse received the ultimate honor in the hospitality industry, when it was
selected by the Mobil Travel Guide as one of the top 108 restaurants in the United States, Canada, and
Mexico. The Riverhorse is the first restaurant in Utah to ever receive this highly coveted award and the only
restaurant in the state to ever be honored with both the DiRōNA Award and the Mobil Four Star Award.
