T-Home: Television, telephony and Internet over one line
Three worlds from a single source: with its Triple Play offer, T-Com gives
customers not only low-price Internet telephony and high-speed Internet
access but also a completely new TV experience. The T-Home 2 packages
give users access to more than 130 free and pay-TV channels, a video-on-
demand 3 service with currently 1,300 titles and a TV archive with exciting
series, documentations and other TV formats, all via the new VDSL 1 high-
speed network from T-Com.
T-Com launched its Triple Play offer for customers in October 2006. Under
the brand name of T-Home, users benefit from an attractive and innovative
all-in offer comprising a high-speed Internet line running at up to 50 Mbit/s,
Internet telephony and television (IPTV). This service gives customers not
only the advantage of being able to surf at hitherto unknown speeds
through the world wide web and making phone calls over the Internet at
affordable prices but also to experience a completely new dimension of
home entertainment.
New TV experience thanks to broadband
This is all made possible by T-Com’s state-of-the-art VDSL broadband
network in conjunction with a media receiver. The device is known as
T-Home X 300T and can be used to transmit live TV over the Internet.
Services include not only conventional television programs over satellite or
cable but also numerous niche channels and pay TV offers. Over 130
different TV channels are currently available through T-Home. The video-
on-demand service that is integrated in the T-Home packages offers added
