STEERING SYSTEM AND
MOTORIZATION
Propulsion systems are only as good as their steering. Optimally
adapted data exchange between the different components
is therefore top priority. A further priority is a user
interface that is as intuitive as possible, enabling safe manoeuvring.
Here too, SCHOTTEL steering systems set the course,
both literally and figuratively.
SST 600 WITH COPILOT 2003
This is a full follow-up way-dependent electro-hydraulic
redundant steering system, including a time-dependent
emergency steering system. This steering system operates
proportionally. This means that small steering angles are
electronically transformed into smooth steering movements
and large steering angles are transformed into fast steering
movements including an acceleration and deceleration ramp.
MOTORIZATION
The SCHOTTEL Navigator is supplied with a diesel engine. The
engine speed can be regulated by SCHOTTEL speedronic, an
electro-mechanical system. Otherwise regulation is possible
using a 4-20 mA or 0-5/10 V signal.
