STEERING SYSTEM AND<br />

MOTORIZATION<br />

Propulsion systems are only as good as their steering. Optimally<br />

adapted data exchange between the different components<br />

is therefore top priority. A further priority is a user<br />

interface that is as intuitive as possible, enabling safe manoeuvring.<br />

Here too, SCHOTTEL steering systems set the course,<br />

both literally and figuratively.<br />

SST 600 WITH COPILOT 2003<br />

This is a full follow-up way-dependent electro-hydraulic<br />

redundant steering system, including a time-dependent<br />

emergency steering system. This steering system operates<br />

proportionally. This means that small steering angles are<br />

electronically transformed into smooth steering movements<br />

and large steering angles are transformed into fast steering<br />

movements including an acceleration and deceleration ramp.<br />

MOTORIZATION<br />

The SCHOTTEL Navigator is supplied with a diesel engine. The<br />

engine speed can be regulated by SCHOTTEL speedronic, an<br />

electro-mechanical system. Otherwise regulation is possible<br />

using a 4-20 mA or 0-5/10 V signal.<br />
