I hope you had a fabulous holiday season! I want to take this moment<br />
to say thank you so much for being a special part of our unit. You<br />
make our goals and dreams possible! I am so excited about what this<br />
new year will hold for our unit! I can’t wait to watch us grow and to<br />
help you reach your goals and land among the stars at Career<br />
Conference! Have you made your plan to attend I know it will be<br />
worth it! Have you set your goal of where you want to be (ON<br />
STAGE!) Make sure to share it with me! I can’t wait to encourage you<br />
towards it!<br />
I am so excited about the hope this new year brings! Don’t you feel<br />
like anything is possible The possibilities in Mary Kay are truly<br />
endless. What’s your vision for this new year Where do you want to<br />
be Now is the time to set a day aside to dream and then set your<br />
goals to make that dream a reality. If you fail to plan- you plan to fail. I<br />
encourage you to take a day to decide where your future lies. Will<br />
there be a “new you” for this year Where do you want to be in<br />
2012<br />
The habits you form today determine your future. Do you realize that if<br />
you choose just one new habit every 3 months, at the end of a year you<br />
will have 4 new habits for success Just think of what that could do for<br />
your business! If you set a goal to warm chatter 5 people each week,<br />
and make your next habit to follow up with 2 people each day- imagine<br />
the bookings you will have! Warm chattering 5 people a week for 2012<br />
would be 260 prospects! If just 1/3 of them became Miracle Set<br />
customers, you’d have 100 NEW Miracle Set customers! If you figure<br />
they purchase just 2 sets a year- that’s at least an Emerald Star each<br />
quarter with ease! What could you do with $13,000 next year And<br />
that’s just from the basics- what about Microderm Body Care Our<br />
fabulous glamour It’s today’s habits that take you there! And that’s<br />
just sales! Working full circle- you’ll be giving classes away to your<br />
new prospects in no time!<br />
With that excitement and big picture vision in mind, where will you<br />
begin today I find that often when I get excited about a big goal, I can<br />
also get overwhelmed by it. By breaking that goal down into quarterly,<br />
monthly, and then daily goals, you can eat that elephant one bite at a<br />
time. It also gives you an attainable and motivational helper each day.<br />
How many of you have put a picture on the fridge to remind you to<br />
diet I have heard of students who figure out how much each class<br />
costs them to motivate them to show up for each class when<br />
unmotivated.<br />
As you begin to break down your goal, focus on making those goals<br />
happen. Form those habits. Make one warm chatter attempt each<br />
day. Don’t go home until you do. Don’t forget- Wal-Mart is open<br />
24-7! So, you can always find women out that you can talk to! It’s<br />
such a great moment to realize that you are a Mary Kay Beauty<br />
Consultant who is dedicated to representing Mary Kay wherever you<br />
go!<br />

Here is a wonderful way to obtain<br />
50 new names of women to follow<br />
up with and schedule for a<br />
complimentary facial. First, make a<br />
list of 10 (or more) of your best<br />
and/or favorite customers. Using the<br />
following dialogue, call each<br />
customer and say:<br />
This “referral gift” can be offered anytime. Valentine’s Day is simply<br />
one of those very special times to give the gift of pampering!<br />
“Hi, ___________, this is __________, your Independent Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. I wanted to take this opportunity to<br />
call and wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day and offer you my Valentine’s Special of (whatever special you might want to<br />
offer)”. Go on to say, “Speaking of gifts for special people, I have five Pampering Packages which include a $10 gift<br />
certificate for you to give to any five friends or family members you choose. This will be a Valentine’s Day gift from you, at<br />
no cost to you, to be scheduled at the recipient’s convenience. Their Pampering Session will include a complimentary<br />
facial, Satin Lips and Satin Hands treatment, along with a color makeover. The complimentary $10 gift certificate can be<br />
used towards anything in our product line. Remember, you can select up to five women whom you think would enjoy some<br />
special pampering. The only stipulation is that they are over 18. If they happen to already be Mary Kay users, I will get their<br />
consultant’s name and arrange to have her do the pampering appointment. I know your girlfriends or family members will<br />

Satin Hands & Satin Lips Treatment for you to be scheduled at your convenience. Tell me, ________, do you currently<br />
have a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant servicing you” (If she has a consultant, ask for the consultant’s name and number<br />
and explain that you will give the consultant a call so that she<br />
can get back with her and schedule a convenient time for the<br />

Home is Where the Heart Is!<br />
As I struggled to gain control of the condition of my house, I realized one day<br />
that there's more to this building than just a dwelling, a launching point into<br />
the world. It isn't just a laundry, dressing room, snack bar, place to sleep, or<br />
place my family and I depend on to launch us into the real world.<br />
I'd gotten it backwards. The outside is not the real world. Our house is<br />
the real world. The outside world existed to support what happened inside<br />
the house!<br />
In truth, the home is a womb where relationships between family<br />
members and with friends are nurtured. Often the home is the wellspring of<br />
ministry and nurturing others. Sometimes it's a place of business. Always it<br />
should offer relief to the people who live there--to you and me and the loved<br />
ones who share the home with us.<br />
Life outside the home is sometimes difficult. We can't control all that<br />
happens there, but we can create a soft place to fall within our four walls.<br />

Steps to help you accomplish your goals!<br />

Envision a clear picture of what you desire! Claim that as your goal!<br />
State your goal, telling people who will support you and encourage you!<br />
Hang a goal poster and place motivating pictures in your surroundings!<br />
Devise a course of action to accomplish your goal! (Unsure CALL ME!)<br />
Become confident in reaching it! (Unsure CALL ME!)<br />
Listen to and read motivational material daily!<br />
Develop a consuming and burning desire to reach your goal--a "not-to-be-denied" attitude!<br />
Seek and offer a cooperative spirit. Learn from those who can help and advise you.<br />
Read your affirmations out loud daily. A MUST!!!<br />
Control your emotions. Do not fret, worry, complain or talk negatively, preventing anyone or<br />
anything from stealing your dream! Be about your business of Seeing the People/Showing the<br />
Product & Sharing the Plan!<br />
Develop the courage and belief to keep going. Focus on efforts, not results! (Make sure the efforts<br />
are Income-Producing Activities, and you will have the results)<br />
Focus on giving, not getting!<br />
Love others with appreciation, encouragement, and guidance through your actions, speech, and<br />
thoughts!<br />
Pray for wisdom, guidance, and trust.<br />
Put on a happy face each day, creating time for laughter. Be Happy!
