Slingshot
Slingshot has three different lines. The main line
is their SX, which exists in five different sizes.
These are quite short and wide boards but with
lots of curve in the outline which makes them
work well for both freestyle and wake-style.
Misfit Surf is, as the name suggests, a pure
wave board. It’s one of the new generation
mutants that have a symmetrical outline, but
with the option of moving the straps more
towards the rear of the board. Misfit Surf works
in both big and small surf. The final board in
Slingshot’s selection is LFT that stands for Little
Fat Twin. Actually it isn’t small at all, but a
perfect light wind board that also works well for
beginners.

Wave
Wave has two different lines of boards. Tribal is
a quite standard freeride board that there isn’t
too much to say about. It works well both for
beginners and more advanced riders and makes
it easy to go upwind. V-flex is a more interesting
board. At the first glance it also looks quite much
like a standard freestyle board, but if you look
closer you notice that the board is split in the
front and the back. This way the board gets lots
of flex in the ends when it is edged hard, like in a
turn or before a traditional jump, but less flex
when it is ridden flat like in landings or when
popped out of the water. This gives a board that,
at least in theory, works equally well for
freestyle, wave riding, and wake-style tricks. The
board comes in four different sizes.
