First in the world over 40
knots!
Manu Taub has done it again! He has broken
the world speed record, and this time he
managed to pass 40 knots after the annoying
result of 39.79 knots in Leucate earlier this
year. The new record reads 40,53 knop and
was made the July 29 during the world speed
challange at Sotavento, Fuerteventura. With
several other runs at high speed he also took
the first place in the competition followed by
Sebastien Cattelan. Congratulations!
During the PKRA event at Sotavento,
Fuerteventura, a new discipline called boarder
cross was born. The competitors were divided
into 4 men heats and sailed a specific course,
turning around buoys, jumping obstacles and
doing predefined tricks on the way. The finish
line consisted of two sausages. If a rider
managed to jump over both sausages he or
she was declared the winner of the heat
(assuming no one had done it before). If none
of the riders jumped over both sausages the
first rider over the line was the winner.
