14. Contribution to student life and extracurricular activities:<br />
-Participating every year in the student's End of Ramdan Afftar in the department<br />
-Gave orientations for both newely admitted graduate and undergraduate students<br />
-Interviewed a number of times by Caravan (the student newspaper)<br />
-Liason of the GWU-Egypt Graduate Exchange Agreement (2003- present). Signed a memorandom of<br />
agreement between the Egyptian Embassy in Washington and GWU for recuriting AUC and National<br />
universities graduate students (Essam Al-Araby is the first AUC student that is now studying for his Ph.D. at<br />
GWU through this agreement)<br />
-Served one year in the University Senate student's affairs committee<br />
-Wrote many recommendation letters for my students<br />
