needs, the greater the chance of sealing a business
deal. We intend to take up this challenge together with

Westerwelle promotes Uruguay
Investments in emerging markets have
long since ceased to be an insider
tip. The focus is on countries such as
China, India and Brazil. Among foreign
investors a South American state has to
date been somewhat unknown, often
tending to be overshadowed by its big
neighbours – Uruguay. In the framework
of his South American trip with a business
delegation in March foreign minister Guido
Westerwelle paid a visit to the secondsmallest
country in South America so as
to draw attention to it as an investment
location. Also invited to the reception
given by the delegation in the German
Embassy was elero branch manager Paul
Riezler. Since 2006 the company has been
taking care of South American customers
at local level – with a positive response:
