Troubleshooting Chart
Gear shift
is not
possible.

pedaling.

Cable is incorrectly
adjusted.
Remove the wheel
from the frame and
check whether gear
shifting is possible.
Shifting lever indicator doesn’t match hub
shifting position.
Turning is stiff.

Braking is too sudden.

Set the shift lever to 4th. Then turn the
cable adjusting barrel to align the red
setting lines on the cassette joint
bracket and pulley.
Replace the shifting lever.
Replace the carrier unit and
hub axle unit.
Replace the carrier unit and hub axle
unit.
Replace the hub axle unit and
carrier unit.
Replace the carrier unit.
Replace the hub axle unit and
carrier unit.
Replace the carrier unit.
Replace the right hand cone and
driver.
Replace the shell, ball retainer and
driver unit.
Trouble condition Remedy
Replace the brake shoe unit, Driver
unit & axle unit.
Braking force is weak. Replace the brake shoe unit.
Pedal turning angle for brake
to operate is too large.
Wheels lock when bicycle is pushed backward.
A squeaking sound caused by lack of lubrication
can be heard.
Replace the brake shoe unit, Driver
unit& axle unit.
Replace carrier unit, driver unit and
clutch unit.
Apply grease or replace the brake
shoe unit.
Brakes do not release. Replace the brake shoe unit and
carrier unit.
