low participation, lack of<br />
accountability and transparency<br />
among regional bodies<br />
• Empowerment should be<br />
embraced by the bodies in<br />
areas of accountability, M&E<br />
frameworks should be well<br />
developed to ensure<br />
loopholes are covered.<br />
Act as a<br />
watchdog over<br />
the government<br />
and community<br />
• They receive little or no<br />
recognition.<br />
• They are often marred with a lot<br />
of exploitation.<br />
• They don’t stick to their<br />
mandate.<br />
• They should have strong<br />
networking initiative among<br />
themselves and partners.<br />
• They should get full<br />
recognition to encourage<br />
involvement and positive<br />
contribution to <strong>CBT</strong>s.<br />
