Services
University Student Health Services offers a
comprehensive health and counselling service
to ensure the health and wellbeing of students
across all four Auckland campuses.
City Campus health centre is located at:
Level 3, Student Commons.
Hours during semester: 8am-6pm Monday to
Thursday and 8am-5pm Friday.
A Registered Nurse is available after-hours by
phone to advise you throughout the night,
weekends, public holidays and at any time the
centre is closed.

IC Helpdesks are located in each Information
Commons and provide walk-in, email and
telephone support for student computing

Library workshops
New students are encouraged to attend library
workshops to become familiar with essential IT
services and library resources before
assignments are due.
Recommended workshops for new students are:
• Library and resources overview: An
introduction to University Library resources
and services.
• Uni IT essentials: An introduction to
computer labs, Student email (EC Mail),
CAPS: the copy and print service and more.
• Find course readings, articles and exams:
how to use the catalogue to find the books,
journals and course materials recommended
in your reading lists.
• Find articles – Where to start: How to find
journal articles from a variety of sources.
• Managing your references: how to effectively
manage your references, an introduction to
reference management software tools, help
with citing and referencing.

General Library tours (for Arts, Business and
Science) will be offered from 4 March to 15
March. These tours start on the hour from
10am-3pm, Monday-Friday. Please meet on
Level G of the General Library. You don’t need
to book. If you have any questions ask at the
Enquiry Desk on Level G. Contact or visit other
subject-specific libraries for details about tours
or orientation activities.
