<strong>University</strong> Student Health Services <strong>of</strong>fers a<br />

comprehensive health and counselling service<br />

to ensure the health and wellbeing <strong>of</strong> students<br />

across all four Auckland campuses.<br />

City Campus health centre is located at:<br />

Level 3, Student Commons.<br />

Hours during semester: 8am-6pm Monday to<br />

Thursday and 8am-5pm Friday.<br />

A Registered Nurse is available after-hours by<br />

phone to advise you throughout the night,<br />

weekends, public holidays and at any time the<br />

centre is closed.<br />

Library workshops<br />

New students are encouraged to attend library<br />

workshops to become familiar with essential IT<br />

services and library resources before<br />

assignments are due.<br />

Recommended workshops for new students are:<br />

and services.<br />

• Uni IT essentials: An introduction to<br />

computer labs, Student email (EC Mail),<br />

CAPS: the copy and print service and more.<br />

• Find course readings, articles and exams:<br />

how to use the catalogue to find the books,<br />

journals and course materials recommended<br />

in your reading lists.<br />

• Find articles – Where to start: How to find<br />

journal articles from a variety <strong>of</strong> sources.<br />

• Managing your references: how to effectively<br />

manage your references, an introduction to<br />

reference management s<strong>of</strong>tware tools, help<br />

with citing and referencing.<br />

Science) will be <strong>of</strong>fered from 4 March to 15<br />

March. <strong>The</strong>se tours start on the hour from<br />

10am-3pm, Monday-Friday. Please meet on<br />

Level G <strong>of</strong> the General Library. You don’t need<br />

to book. If you have any questions ask at the<br />

Enquiry Desk on Level G. Contact or visit other<br />

subject-specific libraries for details about tours<br />

or orientation activities.<br />
