Technical Specification for Desert Coolers.
Required ABS (Acryl Butadiene Styrene) / Poly-Propylene (Engg. Plastic) body Desert Coolers
and suitable to operate on 230 V AC, 50 Cycles, single phase supply. The detail spec. is given
below:
1. Body Material: Virgin ABS (Acryl Butadiene Styrene) / Poly-Propylene (Engg. Plastic)
moulded body of sufficient strength with aesthetically pleasing look.
2. Cooling Area: Suitable every where for area upto min. of 500 sq.ft.
3. Overall Dimension: Approximately 625 mm (length) X 525 mm (breath) X 900 mm (height).
4. Air Blower System: Dynamically-balanced Fan assembly, comprising of 20″ dia. corrosion
resistant Poly-Propylene (Engg. Plastic) Fan-Blade. Total Fan-Motor
input 350 watts (max.) at 230 V, 50 Hz and should be of Crompton / GE
/ Bajaj make only and suitable to operate for minimum air delivery of
2500 m 3 /hr. Motor to be provided with Rotary Switch Knob for 3 speed
control giving speed of 1100, 1200 & 1300 RPM.
5. Water Pump: Suitable Water Pump of max. 65 watt at 230 V, 50 Hz of Crompton / GE
/ Bajaj make only to be provided for continuous water spraying on side
& back panels.
6. Grill: Multi-directional grill for proper air-distribution. Motorised louver
movement is not required. Electrical switch to be located on the front
panel for switching on & off louver movement.
7.Water Refilling System: A fool-proof Needle-type Water-level Indicator should be provided
to indicate water level inside the tank & also to know when to refill.
6 Kg/cm 2 rating inlet Float-Valve should be provided to ensure
continuous water intake without overflow.
8. Drain Valve: ½" Drain Socket with threaded body and cap-nut to be provided for
draining water from tank.
9. Water Holding Capacity: Approx. 40 Ltrs.
10. Trolley: Caster wheel tubular trolley to be provided with required
indentation so as to snugly hold the cooler base. The individual
caster wheel to be of disc type with shrouded manifold, so as to
provide 360° angular movement.

Pad.

The cooler should carry a guarantee for a period of 1 year from any
