experimental endocrinology, he is currently Professor
and Head of Cell Biology and Experimental Endocrinology,
Department of Molecular Medicine and Surgery, and
the Director of the Rolf Luft Research Center for
Diabetes and Endocrinology, Karolinska Institutet.
Associate Professor Tham Kum Ying
Assistant Dean, Head of Phases 2 & 3, LKCMedicine
A much sought-after educator locally and regionally
in resuscitation, trauma, emergency medicine and
medical education. Winner of several teaching
awards including Best Teacher Award, Top 10
Teachers Award and e-Learning Champion Award.
Associate Professor Pang Weng Sun
Vice-Dean, Clinical Affairs, LKCMedicine
Former Chairman of the Medical Boards for
Alexandra and Khoo Teck Puat Hospitals, he
chairs Singapore’s Specialist Training Committee
for Geriatric Medicine and is a recipient of the
Healthcare Humanity Award.
Professor Daniela Rhodes, FRS
From the University of Cambridge
Internationally recognised for her contributions in the
area of chromosome biology, she provided fundamental
insights into the packaging of DNA in chromosomes,
the structure of telomeres and how specific proteins
recognise DNA sequences to regulate transcription.
Professor Walter Wahli
From University of Lausanne
A pioneer who achieved worldwide recognition
for discovering the medically-relevant Peroxisome
Proliferator-Activated Receptors, his research
mainly focuses on the genetic control of energy
metabolism.
