Your dogs are eager for the off! Huskies are at their happiest when there is an adventure
before them. You decide who is going to be the musher, guiding the team of dogs. In each
sled, one additional person (or two small children) settles down to enjoy the ride. And then
you’re off on a journey, part of your 40-minute Husky Experience, through the wilderness,
taking you out of sight of civilisation, where the trees bow under the burden of snow and
the distant fells look mysterious in the half-light.
The Husky Experience is a highlight of your
four-night break with Transun. But there is so
much more. From the Snowmobile Adventure
to a kids’ snowmobile, from the search for
Santa to the Festive Dinner, your short break
is filled with magical experiences. Here is a
typical itinerary:
Day 1
After you land in Enontekiö in Finland you
will be guided to your coach. The journey (one
hour to the Davvi Arctic Lodge in Karesuando
or 15 minutes to Hetta) takes you through the
heart of the Sámi lands. Then you’ll collect
your all-in-one thermal suits and boots. After
checking in at your hotel, your Transun rep

hosts a welcome meeting. Tonight, you could
join an optional activity.
Day 2
After breakfast, you will head out on your
first safari: the 40-minute Husky Experience.
This will be followed by a warming lunch.
Throughout the day you can enjoy snow
activities outside, with free toboggans
available. This afternoon, you can join one
of our optional excursions, perhaps a Puppy
Encounter, or head out and make your own
snow fun. This evening, join a walk to the
local church. After a welcome by the vicar and
carols, return to the hotel for dinner.
Day 3
Today, you will be joining your second
included safari: the 40-minute Snowmobile
Adventure. A supervised kids’ snowmobile ride
will be available. Then, the highlight of the day
when you board a reindeer sleigh and set off in
search of Father Christmas. During a private
family meeting in his cabin, each child has the
chance to talk with Santa and receives a small
gift. After dinner, relax or join an optional
activity.
Day 4
After breakfast, you head outside for a
morning of family snow fun or you may
want to go on one of our optional excursions
such as trying your hand at ice fishing or
driving your own reindeer on our Reindeer
Herding excursion. A warming lunch will be
served. Afterwards, you might want to join
