Choose from a variety of other activities Northern Lights Snowmobile Experience Duration: One hour Price: £110 (per adult, two sharing) or £130 (single rider), £85 (per child 2-15) Take a night safari driving your own snowmobile, led by a local guide, to a nearby vantage point where, if you are lucky, you may see the Northern Lights (Can not be guranteed). Children travel in sleds pulled behind the guide’s snowmobile. Includes hot drinks. Ice Fishing by Snowmobile Duration: 1.5 hours Price: £75 (per adult, two sharing), £45 (child 2-15) This is a great trip for all the family. You travel by snowmobile to a nearby popular fishing site where you can try your hand at traditional ice fishing – you just drill a hole in the ice and lower your baited hook into the icy waters below. Northern Lights Husky Safari Duration: One hour Price: £110 (per adult, two sharing), £85 (child 2-15) Take a night safari on a sledge mushing your own team of dogs to a nearby vantage point where, if lucky, you may see the Northern Lights evolving in the sky above (a stunning phenomenon which cannot, of course, be guaranteed). Children travel in sleds pulled behind the guide’s snowmobile. Includes hot drinks. Puppy Encounter Duration: One hour Price: £90 (adult) £70 (child 2-15) Strictly limited numbers are available for this exciting chance to befriend the husky puppies. You are transferred to the husky camp, where you meet the new puppies and hear stories from real mushers. Includes hot drinks. Once you have booked, you can visit My Booking on the Transun website to reserve your optional activities. Reindeer Herding Safari Duration: 1.5 hours Price: £75 (per adult, two sharing), £65 (child 2-15) You will visit a reindeer gathering place where you learn about herding and even how to lasso a reindeer. Then venture into the Arctic wilderness on a short safari, drawn through the snow by a reindeer while sitting in a sleigh. Includes hot drinks. A Night In An Igloo Duration: Overnight Price: £120pp (adults and children) Spend a night sleeping in an authentic igloo! With no electricity, your ice house is lit by candles, while your bed is a block of ice, covered with reindeer skins, while each person wraps up warm in a single Arctic sleeping bag. Includes hot drinks. This experience is available on short breaks to Karesuando only.

A wonderful experience.’ DAWN VAUGHAN, BIRMINGHAM Sometimes, it’s snow joke True Lapland is a wonderful, authentic wilderness location and there is little wonder Santa has chosen it for his home. But please bear in mind that when it comes to visiting Santa there, you are flying deep into the Arctic Circle in the depths of winter when weather conditions can at times become adverse. While the majority of Transun flights depart and arrive on time, there are occasions when severe conditions cause unavoidable delays. Airlines and aircraft captains always place the safety of their passengers first and may decide not to fly while adverse conditions are forecast. In this event, we at Transun will do all we can to minimise delays and ensure your break is operated as closely to the original itinerary as possible. However, particularly in the case of daybreaks, a lengthy delay might result in the regrettable but unavoidable decision to cancel the departure, where the delay is so great that it makes it impossible to deliver the itinerary as intended. In these circumstances, entirely outside Transun’s control, all our clients will receive a full refund, or the option to move to another departure, depending on availability. …and brrrr! It can be cold! Please remember that you are travelling to the Arctic Circle where temperatures can plummet to levels far colder than in the UK. In December 2014, some of our Santa guests in Finland experiences temperatures of around -35C. As most of your activities are based outside, We do supply a thermal suit for everyone (up-to size 48) but PLEASE ensure you bring a sufficient supply of hats, waterproof gloves, snoods/balaclavas, thermal socks and other warm clothes to ensure all members of your party are wrapped up nice and warm, especially children. Transun Travel Insurance 2015-16 (Valid From 1 April 2015 To 31 March 2016) All of the winter adventure activities shown in our Lapland brochure are covered by our personal travel insurance scheme. It is obligatory that when you book you either accept our insurance or you arrange an alternative policy that provides equal or greater cover. If you are not taking the Transun insurance cover you must provide details of an alternative insurance together with the policy number if possible. You must also clearly decline the Transun insurance by completing and signing the statement contained on the booking form. If you do take out the Transun insurance a policy wording will be sent to you with your tour/confirmation invoice. This will include full details of how to make a claim and also how to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions. Bookings cannot be confirmed until details of adequate insurance have been received. We reserve the right to refuse passengers to travel should adequate insurance arrangements not be made. TRANSUN INSURANCE SCHEDULE OF COVER LIMITS (PER PERSON) This is only available for trips arranged and/or operated by us. Our policy is administered by our insurance brokers Campbell Irvine Ltd and the Insurance Company who are both authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). A schedule of the cover provided is shown below. It does not however contain all the conditions and exclusions but a full policy wording will be sent with your confirmation invoice. A full copy will be sent to you with your policy wording. These rules apply to you and any travelling companion(s) or anyone your travel arrangements may depend such as a close relative or business associate. You must make a separate disclosure for each Transun trip you book. The Insured Person will not be covered under Section A –Medical Expenses, Section B – Personal Accident or Section C – Cancellation or Curtailment for any claims arising directly or indirectly from: either A) At the time of taking out this policy: i) Any Pre-existing Medical Condition unless you have contacted the medical helpline on 0844 826 2686 and the Insurer has agreed to provide cover and you have paid the additional premium required. ii) Any Medical Condition that the Insured Person or any other person not necessarily travelling but upon whom travel depends such as a Close Relative has received a terminal prognosis. iii) Any Medical Condition the Insured Person is aware of but which has not had a formal diagnosis. iv) Any Medical Condition for which the Insured Person or any other person not necessarily travelling but upon whom travel depends such as a Close Relative is on a waiting list for or has knowledge of the need for surgery in a hospital. v) Any circumstances the Insured Person is aware of that could reasonably be expected to give rise to a claim on this policy unless the Insured Person has been given the Insurer’s written agreement. or B) At any time: i) Any Medical Condition the Insured Person has in respect of which a Medical Practitioner has advised them not to travel or would have done so had they sought his/her advice. ii) Any surgery, treatment or investigations for which you intend to travel outside your normal country of residence to receive (including any expenses incurred due to the discovery of other Medical Conditions during and/or complications arising from these procedures. iii) Any Medical Condition for which the Insured Person or any other person not necessarily travelling but upon whom travel depends such as a Close Relative is not taking the recommended treatment or prescribed medication as directed by a Medical Practitioner. iv) Pregnancy when you are expected to give birth within two months of the return date of your trip. DEFINITIONS OF A PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITION: MEANS a) Any respiratory condition (relating to the lungs or breathing),heart condition, stroke, Crohn’s disease, epilepsy, allergy, or cancer for which you (or any other person not necessarily travelling but upon whom travel depends such as a Close Relative) have ever received treatment (including surgery, tests or investigations by your doctor or a consultant/ specialist or prescribed drugs medication). b) Any Medical Condition for which you (or any other person not necessarily travelling but upon whom travel depends such as a Close Relative) have received surgery, in-patient treatment or investigations in a hospital or clinic within the last twelve months or taking prescribed drugs or medication. COVER IS EXCLUDED FOR ANY DEFINED PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITION. IF IN DOUBT PLEASE CALL OUR MEDICAL SCREENING HELPLINE IN CONFIDENCE ON TELEPHONE NO: 0844 826 2700 The medical screening helpline may be contacted between 09.00 and 17.00 Monday to Friday and 10.00 to 16.00 on Saturdays. The medical screening helpline is optional for those persons wishing to establish if additional cover may be offered to include Pre- Existing Medical Conditions. You will be asked for your personal and travel details. Please have your individual policy number to hand if known. You will be advised whether the Pre-Existing Medical Condition may be covered, an optional additional premium may be quoted and whether any amendments will be made to the policy terms and conditions. If terms can be provided for the condition and you elect to take up the offer of the additional cover, you will be given a medical screening reference number and a letter will be sent to you upon receipt of payment. Any additional premiums must be paid directly to the medical screening company and not the company you are arranging your travel insurance with. Should you not wish to take advantage of the optional terms quoted by the medical helpline, cover for the Medical Condition in question will be excluded. If there is a change to your health which arises between the date of purchasing the policy and the planned date of departure please contact the medical screening helpline for further advice, in order to establish if the change in your health will affect your cover under this insurance. There is no cancellation or curtailment cover for a Pre-Existing Medical Condition of persons not necessarily travelling but upon whom travel depends, such as a Close Relative, unless disclosed to the medical screening helpline and additional cover agreed.
