In May of 1996, Berman started Plan B Entertainment, an independent motion picture company at<br />
Warner Bros. Pictures. He was named Chairman and CEO of Village Roadshow Pictures in February<br />
1998.<br />
SIMON DUGGAN (Director of Photography) most recently shot the much-anticipated follow up<br />
to Zack Snyder's acclaimed "300," "300: Rise of an Empire," due out later this year.<br />
Duggan hails from Wellington, New Zealand, and is one of the world's premiere cinematographers.<br />
A member of both the SOC and the ACS, he has won numerous awards for his work, including the<br />
ACS Golden Tripod Award, ACS Gold Award, the Australian Film Institute's Award for Best<br />
Achievement in Cinematography, and the Film Critics Circle of Australia's Best Cinematography<br />
Award.<br />
Duggan began his career at Ross Wood Film Studios in Sydney, Australia working in commercials<br />
with directors such as Alex Proyas, David Denneen, James Holt, Kinka Usher and Bruce Hunt. He<br />
now shoots international campaigns with award-winning directors like Noam Murro, Tim Godsall,<br />
and Steve Rogers.<br />
He started working in features in Sydney before coming to the United States, and has since worked<br />
on such films as "Live Free or Die Hard" and "Underworld: Evolution," with Len Wiseman; "The<br />
Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor," with Rob Cohen; "Killer Elite," with Gary McKendry;<br />
and "Knowing," "I, Robot" and the indie "Garage Days," all with Proyas.<br />
MATT VILLA (Editor) has been part of the Australian film community for 20 years. Before becoming<br />
an editor in his own right, he rose through the ranks of assistant and VFX editor, serving on<br />
many local and international productions. His thorough understanding of both the technical aspects<br />
of filmmaking and the intricacies of storytelling has made him an asset on films diverse in genre,<br />
style and scale.<br />
His editing credits include "Daybreakers," "The Final Winter," "Happy Feet Two" and Peter Jackson's<br />
"King Kong." "The Great Gatsby" marks Villa's third collaboration with Baz Luhrmann, following<br />
his editing work on "Moulin Rouge!" and "Australia."<br />
JASON BALLANTINE (Editor) was the winner of the Film Critics Circle of Australia (FCCA)<br />
Award for his work on "Wish You Were Here," and also garnered nominations from the Australian<br />
Film Institute (AFI) for their AACTA Award, and the Australian Screen Editors Guild (ASE). He<br />
was previously nominated for the AFI Award for his work on "Wolf Creek," a film which also<br />
earned him an FCCA nod; and for the ASE Award for the films "Rogue" and "Caterpillar Wish."<br />
Ballantine is currently cutting the much-anticipated "Mad Max: Fury Road," the fourth in the series,<br />
for director George Miller. The high-octane action adventure stars Tom Hardy in the title role,<br />
alongside Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult.<br />
As first assistant editor and visual effects editor, Ballantine has worked alongside many noteworthy<br />
directors and editors in a career spanning more than 20 years. His films include Miller's "Babe,"<br />
