Taking still pictures You can take still pictures using either the monitor or the viewfinder. 3 Shooting basics Taking still pictures 3 Press the shutter button gently (halfway) to adjust the focus. 48 • When the focus and exposure are locked, the green lamp lights (focus lock). • The AF target mark moves to the focused position. • The shutter speed and aperture value automatically set by the camera are displayed (except in M mode). • # blinks to warn of camera movement. Press the flash button to open the flash.(P.57) • When # lights after the flash has popped HQ up, the flash is ready to fire.
