Dear Parents and Teachers, dear Students,
we would like to warmly welcome you to the new school year at DSKL, especially new
students and parents, we wish all and everyone a happy start.
This year we begin with a slightly increased number of students in both kindergarten and at
school.
Some news from our teaching staff team:
Now comers to Kindergarten:

New staff at Secondary I & II:
Mr Sostmann, new Deputy Principal, teacher for Music, German and History
Mr Thomé, new Upper Secondary Principal, teacher for Biology, Chemistry and
Performing Arts

Mrs Wachsmuth, Sports and History
Mr McIntosh, Fine Arts, English and History
School ends at 1:20 pm for all students during the first week of the new school year, i.e.
from 13 to 17 August, 2012.

During the second week of school - from Wednesday to Friday – school will end at 3:30pm
on Thursday, 23 August.
No WAGs, AGs & Learning Sessions will take place during the second week.
WAGs, AGs, Learning Sessions & other activities such as instrumental lessons will begin
in the third week, i.e. from 27 to 30 August; National Day falls on 31 August.
‣ Sending and Picking up Students:
We kindly request you to park your car at the public car park and keep the road
section in front of the school clear for school buses.
For safety purposes, please receive your children right at the large school gate.
‣ Riding on the School Bus:
Please refer to attachment.
‣ „Student Pass“ or „Dependant Pass”:
Kindly submit a copy of your child’s valid residence permit („STUDENT’S PASS“ or
„DEPENDANT’S PASS“). Your cooperation is very much appreciated.
‣ International Student Pass, Minimum Age 12 Years (not to be confused with „Student“ or
„Dependant Pass“):
Please find attached the application form for the International Student Pass. If you
are interested, kindly submit the following documents to the receptionist at DSKL,
latest by 30 October, 2012. Applications handed in after the deadline will not be
entertained, parents will then have to apply directly at MSL Travel.
The following documents are required:
- Student Pass application form
- Copy of passport
- Copy of "Student Pass" or "Dependant Pass" with additional stamp
- 1 Photo (please provide name on reverse side)
- RM 20
School Shop, Opening Hours:
Monday and Friday:

08:00 to 08:30 am
11:30 to 11:45 am
Kindly be reminded that payments for Hilton meals will not be accepted outside office
hours.
The next Newsletter will be issued on September 4, including the schedule for upcoming
Newsletters for the current semester.
