Objectives:
To enhance skills in the treatment of the pediatric victim of a cardiac arrest or
other cardiopulmonary emergencies
Course Description:
The course provides knowledge and skill to stabilize the critically ill child, included
the indicating factors for infants and children at risk of cardiopulmonary arrest,
strategies in preventing arrests in infants and children, recognize respiratory
failure, shock, and cardiac arrest and initiate advanced resuscitation with airway
and ventilation control, vascular access, fluid and medication therapy and identify
and treat rhythm disturbances.
