Hong Kong Neonatal Resuscitation Program (HK-NRP)
The Hong Kong Neonatal Resuscitation Program (HK-NRP), jointly organized
by the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians, Hong Kong Paediatric Nurses
Association and the Hong Kong Association of Neonatal Medicine will be
starting to train our NRP Providers in accordance with the curriculum of the
American Academy of Pediatrics/ American Heart Association. It is the first
official program recognized by AAP outside the U.S.
The HK-NRP Provider Course consists of the following components:-
1. Self Study of the Neonatal Resuscitation Textbook (with DVD) 6th
Edition
2. Online Examination, passing with 80% correct answers within 30
days before the one-day NRP course
3. One-day NRP Course of skills training, simulation and debriefing at
our Training Center. It emphasizes on problem solving, team
dynamics and communications during resuscitation.
Those who have successfully completed the cognitive and skills evaluations
in accordance with the NRP Curriculum will be issued a Neonatal
Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider Card from the American Academy of
Pediatrics, American Heart Association, Hong Kong College of Paediatricians,
Hong Kong Association of Neonatal Medicine and the Hong Kong Paediatric
Nurses Association.
The NRP Provider Course Fees is HK$ 2,000, which will cover the Neonatal
Resuscitation Textbook (with DVD) (6th Edition), the online Examination
registration fees and the NRP Provider Card.
Each one-day HK-NRP course could only accommodate 24 trainees. The
trainers are Regional NRP Trainers recognized by the AAP and they are
senior neonatologists and neonatal nurses from various hospitals. The plan
is to have one course each month starting July 2012.

- No Refund will be made unless the course is over-subscribed or cancelled;
- If the course date preferred is over-subscribed, alternative courses will be suggested.
- $100 handling fee is required if course date is requested to be changed by the student after
payment has been confirmed;
- Participant will be notified to collect the course materials by email at least 6 weeks before
course date
- The online exam code will be emailed to you one month before the course date.
